I have serious nerve and carpal on both hands.  After much testing and imaging both Kaiser and the VA determined it's in the wrist bone areas.

I realize this is more bone/nerve and not soft tissue

A solution given is to remove one bone, each wrist, and pin the removed bone's adjacent bones via a 'bridge' device.   Allows more area and give moderate strength back: not a big fan even at 70.

Would stem help?
